We have pleasure of welcoming back Dr. Alison Papirny as the newest dentist at Wade Abbott Dentistry & Associates starting on June 28, 2021! 🙌 🙌
Dr. Papirny was born in the small town of High Level, Alberta. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree through Grand Prairie Regional College and then completed it at the University of Alberta. Graduating with distinction, she majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Psychology. In 2009, she was accepted into the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program at the University of Alberta.
In her third year of dental school, she was granted the opportunity to take part in a dentistry exchange program in Dresden, Germany. In 2017, she audited a week-long course focusing on Forensic Odontology (focusing on identification training).
Alison's interests lie in all areas of dentistry, but she is especially excited to be work with CEREC Digital Dentistry here at Wade Abbott Dentistry & Associates. Alison is a firm believer in continuing education, ensure the best quality of care for her patients. She's trained in nitrous oxide sedation, an effective option for those who need a little extra comfort in the dental chair.
Alison met her husband (a Labradorian) in Alberta. Once she visited the island, she fell in love with the people and never looked back. She has been practicing in Newfoundland and Labrador since 2013. In her off time, Alison loves to get out into the woods, where you can find her exploring on an ATV, hiking, and kayaking with her husband and dog, Bishop!
